Food Drive for UCM: Mount Vernon Kiwanis - Sat., Sept. 22

The Mount Vernon Kiwanis Club is hosting a collection drive to help stock UCM’s client-choice Food Pantry:

Date: Sat., Sept. 22, 2018
Time:  9 am to 5 pm
Location: Hollin Hall Safeway (7900 Fort Hunt Rd., Alexandria, VA 22308)

Look for the UCM truck in the parking lot -- and the friendly faces of Kiwanis members handing out flyers as you enter the store! All non-perishable food & toiletry items welcome, but most needed are “heart healthy” items including:

• Canned tuna and other meats
• Low-salt canned vegetables and fruit
• Low-salt canned soups
• Whole grain pasta and rice
• Low-sugar cereal
• Tomato sauce
