It's time for the annual Mount Vernon "Neighbors Helping Neighbors" community-led food drive, organized by teens at Saint Luke's Episcopal Church. West Potomac graduating senior Will Shute and rising junior Khloe Krizek are the lead coordinators for the drive that lasts through July 2017.
The teens have organized volunteer street coordinators to solicit and receive food donations in their neighborhoods.

A $50 gift can provide a dozen fresh eggs for 100 families for a week. Each weekday, an average 80 - 100 families depend on the UCM Food Pantry for supplemental groceries to feed their children.
Collections this year are already well on the way to surpassing last year's totals of 2,500+ pounds and $2,500. Help us break last year's record!
