Join your neighbors at the special Summer 2019 Stuff The Bus Food Drive to stock United Community's food pantry: Date: Sat., June 1, 2019 Time: 9 am - 1 pm Location: Safeway at Hollin Hall (7900 Fort Hunt Rd., Alexandria VA 22309) We especially need canned tuna/meats, low-sugar cereal, low-sodium canned items, pasta -- and other heart-healthy food items such as whole grains, nuts, and healthy proteins. This event is the nation's largest single-day food drive. We encourage all area residents to leave a bag of food by their mailbox/mailroom /front door on Saturday, May 11. Be sure the bag is there before your mail is delivered. Local letter carriers will pick up donations when they deliver your mail. All donations picked up by letter carriers in our area will go to UCM or another local food pantry, helping to feed hungry families in your community.
