YOLONDA EARL-THOMPSON
Senior Director of Collective Impact

Yolonda Earl-Thompson joined United Community in 2017 as the manager of the Creekside Community Center.  Her vast knowledge of community advocacy, development, and partnership, along with her strong interpersonal communication skills contributed to successful outcomes for the center and surrounding communities.  In 2019, she was recognized by Fairfax County’s Neighborhood Community Services for these community efforts. An active member of the Buckman Loop community, Yolonda has served on multiple community committees, including United Community’s Communities of Opportunities Steering Team.  Her ability to move vision to inspiration to action makes her return to United Community an exciting moment for both the organization and the communities we support.

Yolonda has a B.A. in Communications from George Washington University, an M.A. in Family and Marriage Counseling from Liberty University and is a veteran of the United States Marine Corps.  With over 20 years of experience, she has evinced ability to strengthen communities socially, emotionally, economically, and academically.  Yolonda seeks to “awaken the human concern of others to bring peace, unity, and world changing results to humanity – one person and one community at a time.
