How We Support Neighbors at Every Level
At United Community, we know that lasting change happens when every part of life is supported. That’s why we follow the Socio-Ecological Model, a framework that ensures every neighbor we serve receives support that meets their needs today while building stability for tomorrow.
The model recognizes the many factors that shape a person’s journey:
- Individual – personal skills, health, and knowledge
- Interpersonal – the role of family, friends, and close relationships
- Organizational – surrounding programs and services
- Community – neighborhood conditions and access to resources
- Policy/Societal – laws and systems that shape opportunity
By addressing barriers at all five levels, we help empower lasting confidence, dignity, and self-sufficiency, leading to a stronger, more resilient community.
