United Community CEO Leah Fraley
Leah Fraley, Chief Executive Officer
Leah Fraley, CEO of United Community, brings extensive experience and an unwavering dedication to protecting children and strengthening families. Her personal and professional path reflects a deep commitment to ensuring that children grow up safe, supported, and surrounded by opportunity.
Leah’s work has always centered on child protection and family resilience. Most recently, she served as CEO of Stop Child Abuse Now (SCAN) of Northern Virginia, where she led efforts to prevent abuse and support healing for survivors. Earlier, she directed Marketing and Development at the International Centre for Missing & Exploited Children, worked to expand access to affordable healthcare at Holy Cross Health, and led the United Way in Western Maryland in creating lasting change in education, income, and health. Across these roles, Leah partnered with leaders and communities to address the root causes that put children and families at risk.
Her commitment is evident not only in her leadership but also in her service with statewide organizations. She serves on the Board of Families Forward Virginia and co-chaired a Steering Committee to create a strategic plan for preventing child abuse and neglect across the Commonwealth.
Leah believes that protecting children goes hand in hand with helping families become self-sufficient. By ensuring families have access to resources, support, and opportunities, she works to break cycles of hardship and create pathways to stability and independence.
