English as a Second Language (ESL)

ESL CLASSES: Progreso Literacy and Citizenship Center

Progreso Literacy and Citizenship Center provides semester-long English as a Second Language (ESL) classes for adult learners of all language levels.

ABOUT OUR ESL CLASSES

ESL Classes are 1.5 hours long, twice a week, and are held in both daytime and evening sessions. Each class has up to 15 students and is taught by a trained volunteer.

Students have opportunities to further develop their English proficiency in open “English Conversation Classes”.

In addition, our Center has a fully outfitted computer lab for students who don’t have access to technology or Wi-Fi in their homes.

All ESL Classes have a modest registration fee of $60 per semester that covers workbooks and other materials. English Conversation classes are free and open to the public.
