Ensuring every child has a healthy breakfast with Safeway Foundation’s Nourishing Neighbors program  

This month when you visit Safeway at 7900 Ft. Hunt or 6130 Rose Hill Drive in Alexandria, you will see signs for the Nourishing Neighbors fundraiser; and you will have the opportunity to donate at checkout. We hope you will participate because all donations made will be provided to United Community. 

We’re excited to have been selected as the Nourishing Neighbors charity partner for these Safeway locations.  

Nourishing Neighbors aims to fight hunger by helping keep food banks stocked, supporting meal distribution programs at schools and supporting programs that provide food to seniors. As a program of Safeway Foundation, Nourishing Neighbors is working to eradicate childhood hunger in America. Their September giving campaign is focused on raising funds to ensure that every child in our neighborhood has access to a healthy breakfast.  

Stop by Safeway at 7900 Ft. Hunt or 6130 Rose Hill Drive in Alexandria from September 1 – 30 to donate to Nourishing Neighbors and help us keep our neighborhood kids fed.
